The esports organisation Team BDS has announced that it has entered into a partnership with the blockchain platform, XBorg. The deal will see the pair collaborating with an array of Web3 companies, all in an effort of providing Team BDS fans with new fan experiences.
We're told that this will include working with The Sandbox to create the first esports arena on the platform, and also teaming up with Avatarz to allow fans to create their own digital identity, while also being rewarded with virtual exclusive collectibles tailored to the esports team.
Team BDS managing director, Jocelyn Roux added: "This partnership offers a new perspective for Team BDS, introducing the release of virtual spaces and unprecedented experiences for the club. This new technology will have a significant impact on the overall commercial strategy of the structure and on how we interact with our fans. We are thrilled about this partnership with XBorg, which aims to create a new connection between Team BDS and its community of fans, helping the club integrate blockchain technology into its engagement strategy."
There is no word of any financials or length of the partnership deal.
